- Christine Quinn, a former employee and co-star in Selling Sunset, continues to receive Brett Oppenheim’s assistance.
- Quinn’s absence from the upcoming sixth season of the Netflix reality show was a topic of discussion as the luxury realtor and president of Oppenheim Real Estate, 45, spoke with PEOPLE at the 1060 App launch on Thursday in West Hollywood.
- She’s a tremendous loss since she’s made for reality television, he added, adding that this is our first season without her. “We remain in touch, although not as frequently. mainly over Instagram or the occasional text.”
On Thanksgiving, Marie-Lou Nurk, Jason Oppenheim’s girlfriend, will get to meet his mother for the first time.
But I got to say, I might have had a little bit of fear going into season six, but I have no concern coming out of season six, Oppenheim said, explaining his earlier concerns about Quinn not being on the programme.
He continued, “I’m incredibly proud of this season. “Everyone, in my opinion, rose to the occasion, and the season ended up being surprisingly fantastic. Therefore, all worries have entirely subsided.”
Oppenheim hinted about season 6 further by saying: “There was zero drama until we were a few weeks into production. I thought, “Oh, s—.” Okay, perhaps this will be a calm season. In all honesty, I felt a little bit happy about it. Then, something unexpected happened. Therefore, I truly believe that this season will feature just as much drama as the others.”
Oppenheim admitted, “Yeah, it just came out of nowhere, but it was quite tough for a few weeks at the office. So even though it was a little challenging for my brother and I (Jason Oppenheim), I believe that people will find it to be enjoyable.

Brett described a particular scenario as “difficult,” noting that the conflicts have developed between “people that we both care about a lot.”
We weren’t dealing with it directly, which was kind of wonderful in some respects, but it was also slightly unsettling since we weren’t there to try to smooth things over, he said. “We were in Europe when it started to hit the fan. “Consequently, getting through was challenging. Yes, it wasn’t enjoyable to witness or hear about, but I imagine millions of others would find it enjoyable.”
The 1060 App, a new app created for the real estate industry that provides an endless stream of the world’s most amazing homes and apartments through brief digital videos, was launched on Thursday. Brett attended the event with his twin brother, his girlfriend Marie-Lou Nurk, and Selling Sunset co-star Amanza Smith.
In August, a source told PEOPLE that Quinn, 34, will not be appearing in seasons 6 and 7 of the popular Netflix series. This summer saw the start of season production. The news of Quinn’s departure from the series was originally announced by TMZ.
Quinn has been a mainstay on the show Selling Sunset since it first debuted in 2019, which follows the Oppenheim Group real estate company as they market some of the most exclusive luxury houses in Los Angeles.
Over the course of five seasons, viewers observed Quinn selling real estate while simultaneously getting embroiled in conflict with all of her co-stars. In a heated argument in season 5, Emma Hernan alleged Quinn had paid a client $5,000 to stop doing business with her. Quinn categorically refuted the charge.
According to Quinn, she left Oppenheim in April to start her own cryptocurrency real estate business, RealOpen, with her husband Christian Dumontet.
When the brokerage opened, I ended my contract, Quinn claimed. “I had to terminate the contract so I could transfer it to my brokerage because I had to make a business decision that was for me.”
