The VFX and aesthetics of Om Raut’s Adipurush have drawn criticism ever since the trailer was released in October. Om just announced on social media that the Prabhas, Saif Ali Khan, and Kriti Sanon movie’s January release date has been changed to June of the following year. Kriti has now spoken out about the negative feedback the Adipurush teaser received and stated that the production crew is “very pleased” of what it has produced.

Kriti was recently asked about how the release of Adipurush was delayed after the filmmakers came under fire for, among other things, the unprofessional CGI and VFX during an event where she was promoting her next movie Bhediya with co-star Varun Dhawan. On Reddit, a video from the latest occurrence was posted. Kriti said, “As Om Raut, my director, has mentioned in the note that was brought out, it is a film that we all are extremely proud of. It is a film which is of grand canvas; it is a part of our history and is extremely important. It needs to be put out in the right way and in the best possible way because that’s what he (Om) also had envisioned.”
Kriti Sanon further stated that what was shown in the teaser was limited, and said, “So a one minute 35 second teaser came out. There is a lot more to the film that he (Om) needs to work upon, and needs time. We all want to give it the best shot because this is an opportunity to get our history, to get our religion globally out there. It is a story that we all are proud of, so it needs to be done in the best possible way. And I think he is going to give it all the talent that it needs, and all the effort it needs because the heart and the soul are in the right place.”

The creators of the Prabhas-starring movie stated they had opted to give the crews extra time to work on the film’s visual experience after receiving criticism for the VFX in the teaser for weeks. The movie’s release date has been changed from January 12 to June 16, 2023, according to director Om Raut.
The movie, which stars Saif Ali Khan, Prabhas, and Kriti in the key roles, is reported to be based on the Hindu classic Ramayan. While Prabhas will portray Raghava and Kriti will play Janaki, roles based on Lord Ram and Sita, respectively, Prabhas’ part in the film is loosely based on Raavan from the epic.
Kriti’s upcoming film, Bhediya, is scheduled to be released on November 25. She will also reunite with Kartik Aaryan, who she worked with on Luka Chuppi, for the film Shehzaada.
