The Federal government has officially announced five days public holiday on Eid-ul-Fitr, most likely to be celebrated on Monday May 25.
Interior Ministry has issued a notification here on Saturday. According to the notification, 22nd to 27th May 2020 (Friday to Wednesday) shall be public holidays on the occasion Eid-ul-Fitr 2020.
The notification further stated that during Eid holidays all businesses, public places, community markets and shops etc, will remain closed. Only essential items’shops and medical services/ medical stores as already notified will remain open, the statement added.

According to Met Office the crescent of Shawwal-ul-Mukarram is most likely to be sighted in the evening of Sunday May 24, thus Eid would be observed on Monday May 25.
