I have been here for nine years since I got my passport. And I don’t want to get into the reason why, what happened, my films weren’t working, blah blah blah,” said the Ram Setu actor at the event.

After 14-15 movie office flops, the actor planned to travel to Canada to start a fresh career. “I genuinely don’t understand the unjustified curiosity and criticism regarding my citizenship. I have never concealed or disputed that I possess a Canadian passport. It’s also true that I haven’t visited Canada in seven years. I work in India and pay all my taxes here,” he tweeted.
