I Hate Christmas, an Italian comedy series that will debut on Netflix on December 7, has released its official trailer as part of the service’s holiday programming.

The opening line of the trailer is a strong one: “Christmas doesn’t care about your happiness.” The statement “The one thing that matters is if you have family” is subsequently made in response.

Gianni is portrayed by Italian actress Pilar Fogliati, who closes her personal reflections with the pledge, “I shall not bend.” Gianni, a single nurse, is anxious to find a spouse before the holiday season in 24 days because Christmas is quickly approaching and she will likely be meeting the entire family at the end of the year.

Gianni is shown in the teaser enjoying a family meal while bragging about her professional accomplishments.

However, her relatives appear to be more interested in her romantic status. Gianni cracks in the midst of the subtly directed jabs at her, telling her family she has a man and will be bringing him home for Christmas.

An excited family member says, “There’s hope for everyone!” in response to this news. She returns to her pals after throwing down the challenge, and they talk about her chances of finding a suitable mate in time to bring home for Christmas in 24 days.

The challenging phase, though, which involves going on dates and meeting the available men, comes quickly.

The first is Carlo, who wants her to board a seaplane and who seems to be frightened by the idea. After that, there come the club parties, quiet dates on a fishing boat, rejections, and an unintentional romp with a high school student.

In the end, Gianni and her friends may all concur over a toast that “top or bottom is the same. Christmas is difficult. Gianni is reminded by a coworker that sometimes the things we seek are closer than we think, despite how torn she feels about the task at hand.

Gianni soon starts to ponder whether there really is a happily ever after or whether she would have to face those uncomfortable questions during Christmas dinner at her parents’ house alone herself.

I Hate Christmas, a remake of the Norwegian television show Hjem til Jul, is directed by Davide Mardegan and Clemente De Muro. Fiorenza Pieri, Massimo Rigo, Marzia Ubaldi, and Alessio Pratic are also cast members of the television series.

On December 7, I Hate Christmas on Netflix makes its debut. The trailer is provided below.
