Queen Elizabeth II is said to have turned down Prince Harry and Meghan Markle’s plan to live half inside and half outside the palace.

During an interview with the media, royal correspondent Richard Palmer said that the late monarch, Charles, and the Prince of Wales at the time were afraid of “disaster” happening again.

That plan, he said, was also rejected because “you are always to be accused of cashing in on your royal connections.”

The expert observed that the Sussexes’ “choice to quit” also “faced criticism” because they “dished the dirt on the Royal Family.”
