Netflix has acquired the rights to Emily the Criminal, starring Audrey Plaza, one of the best-reviewed film releases of 2022.
The film starring Audrey Plaza depicts the story of Emily “A young lady burdened with student loans and unable to obtain employment due to a criminal record. Emily does dodgy jobs, including those in which she purchases products with stolen credit cards since she is desperate for money. Her involvement in criminal activity deepens thereafter.”
According to What’s on Netflix, the show will be available on Netflix US on December 7, 2022, and later in other territories, although not in 2022.
In addition to Audrey Plaza, who portrays the title character, Theo Rossi, Megalyn Echikunwoke, Jonathan Avigdori, Kim Yarbrough, and Gina Gershon all appear in the thriller.
John Patton Ford is the showrunner and writer for the film.
