- The royal family’s Remembrance weekend arrangements have been finalized
This weekend, as Remembrance Weekend begins to remember the conclusion of World War I, King Charles III will get together with other senior royals for the first time since the death of his mother, Queen Elizabeth.
King Charles, Queen Consort Camilla, Prince William, and Kate Middleton will all appear in public together at two upcoming Remembrance events.
The first event will take place at the Royal Albert Hall on Saturday, November 12, and will be attended by King Charles, Camilla, the Prince and Princess of Wales, the Earl and Countess of Wessex, the Princess Royal and Vice Admiral Sir Tim Laurence, the Duke and Duchess of Gloucester, the Duke of Kent, and Princess Alexandra.
Charles and Camilla will preside over the royal family at the traditional Remembrance Day Service at The Cenotaph the following day, on November 12, on Remembrance Sunday.
In remembrance of his late mother, Queen Elizabeth, and his late grandfather, King George VI, King Charles will lay a wreath during the service. The wreathe will have black foliage embellished with poppies and a ribbon in the racing colours of red, purple, and gold of the monarch.
The royal family’s Remembrance weekend arrangements have been finalized just as Prince William and Kate Middleton posted a moving message on social media to commemorate Armistice Day on November 11.
