With a new app called Dropship, Samsung is making it easier to share files between different platforms and devices. At the moment, you can only get it in South Korea. You can download it from the Galaxy Store.
Dropship lets you share up to 5 GB of files per day by uploading them through the host device and making a QR code that others can scan to get the file.
It’s not clear what kinds of files you can send, but the screenshot shows that you can send photos and videos. The app will also keep track of the files you’ve sent in the past.
At least for now, very few people will be able to use the app. This is because the person sending the file needs Android 13 and a Samsung account on their phone. Android 13 is only on a few devices in the world, and one of them is the Galaxy S22 series.
The good news is that the person receiving the gift doesn’t even need the app or a Samsung account. Just by scanning the QR code, the download will start right away. The best thing about Dropship is that you won’t have to rely on Bluetooth’s slow speeds and short range to share files. You won’t even have to download any apps.

As soon as you scan the code, you don’t have to worry about staying in range with the host phone or download speeds, depending on your internet connection.
As was already said, Dropship is only available to Korean users right now, and no one knows when it will be available to people all over the world. Pakistan and the rest of the world will probably have to wait until 2023 to get it. Even then, it will only work on Galaxy devices with Android 13, so owners of the S22 will be the first to get it.
