- Netflix have announced a new limited series called American Primeval.
- Film 44 and Grand Electric are collaborating on the project.
- Collaborating with Armando Salas as cinematographer.
Two creators with overall deals are looking forward to their next endeavour with Netflix, a new limited series called American Primeval.
The new series’ details are scarce, although two sources claim that it will begin filming in New Mexico, United States, as early as February 2023.
Here’s a description of the next series, which is presently in production:
“Traveling West with her son, Sara joins a Mormon caravan headed in the same direction but bloody conflict erupts between the Native Americans and those claiming the land for themselves.”
Rachel Tenner is the casting director for the upcoming show. Armando Salas will act as cinematographer and director of photography.
Film 44 (directed by Peter Berg) and Grand Electric are collaborating on the project (helmed by Eric Newman).
Both have overall deals with Netflix and have collaborated on the upcoming limited series Painkiller.
The series will be directed by Peter Berg, with Eric Newman producing.
Berg signed an agreement with Netflix through Film 44 in March 2021 to develop and direct new movies and series for the streaming service. He’s only provided Spenser Confidential so far. That agreement is set to expire in early 2023 after three years.
Berg is also the pilot director for the Pain Killer limited series and an executive producer on the cancelled The Green Beret’s Guide to Surviving the Apocalypse series.
Eric Newman has worked on a number of Netflix projects through Grand Electric throughout the years, with more on the way. He signed his contract in 2020, and it is set to expire at the end of this year.
Other Netflix projects mentioned by Newman include Rebel Moon, Griselda, and The Upper World.
