KARACHI: Sindh High Court (SHC) has expressed its dissatisfaction and disappointment in efforts to end the encroachments in the Co-operative Housing Society.
While hearing the establishment of Goth in Cooperative Housing Society , Justice Hassan Azhar Rizvi of Sindh High Court remarked that Goths are being built in a systematic way, not even housing societies.
“It does not seem to end the Goths, what should be done,” Court’s inquiry to lawyers.
Advocate Shahab Sarki said case is about the implementation of the order to remove the encroachment.
The lawyer said the court had also directed the Mukhtiarkar (authorized person)to bring the complete record of the land in the last hearing. He said we don’t mind if the National Bank takes over the society.
During the hearing, Mukhtiarkar said the record of the land was present but not readable.
He said there was a fire incident that occurred in the record room and documents were affected in the fire extinguishing process.
The court adjourned the hearing till the first week of December and directed Mukhtiarkar to check the record of land. The court will see the matter.

Earlier, Imtiaz Khuhro Secretary of the Society filed a petition in the court and submitted that land of National Development Finance Corporation (NDFC) officers and staff housing society encroached on by private persons.
The land grabbers attacked with rocket launchers for occupation and the land of the Manghopir Society’s was occupied, and later converted into Mulla Jam Goth.
The petitioner further submitted that china cutting is being done based on fake documents.
