Winston Duke joins the cast of The Fall Guy. He played Jabari tribe leader M’Baku in 2018’s Black Panther.
He will also appear in Avengers: Infinity War and Avengers: Endgame.
His next project is to star in Marked Man for Amazon Studios.

Winston Duke has joined the cast of The Fall Guy. He’s the newest member of the famous cast of the stuntman action movie starring Ryan Gosling. Also reported by The Hollywood Reporter was Duke’s part in the upcoming Universal picture. He will portray the over-the-hill stuntman’s closest friend, who is sucked into a mystery on the set of his most recent film when the star he’s double (Aaron Taylor-Johnson), with whom he has a troubled past, vanishes. The stuntman is played by Ryan Gosling.

Previously cast While Stephanie Hsu, the breakout actress of Everything Everywhere All At Once, will play Taylor-assistant, Johnson’s Emily Blunt will play a prosthetic makeup artist and an old flame of Ryan Gosling’s stuntman. David Leitch is the director (of Atomic Blonde, Deadpool 2, and Bullet Train). The Fall Guy, a five-season TV series that aired between 1981 and 1986, was the basis for the movie. Lee Majors, who had just finished filming The Six Million Dollar Man, played Colt Seavers, a Hollywood stuntman who moonlighted as a bounty hunter. The movie appears to have abandoned the series’ bounty-hunting theme in favour of a mystery plot.

A charismatic rival of T’Challa, the towering Winston Duke captured the public’s attention in 2018’s Black Panther as the Jabari tribe leader M’Baku; he later reprised the role in Avengers: Infinity War and Avengers: Endgame. Duke will also reprise the role in next week’s eagerly anticipated Black Panther: Wakanda Forever. In addition, he co-starred with Lupita Nyong’o from Black Panther in Jordan Peele’s horror thriller Us, as well as an ensemble cast in Nine Days, a metaphysical fantasy, and Mark Wahlberg in Peter Berg’s action comedy Spenser Confidential. He provided Batman’s voice in the podcast “Batman Unburied” on Spotify. His next project is to star in Marked Man for Amazon Studios as political activist Marcus Garvey.

Drew Pearce is the writer of the script (Iron Man 3, Hotel Artemis, Fast & Furious Presents: Hobbs and Shaw). Gosling and Entertainment 360’s Guymon Casady will also produce for 87North, a production business run by Leitch and his production partner and wife, Kelly McCormick. Pearce and Geoff Shaevitz will work together as executive producers. The movie will be managed by Tony Ducret, director of development at Universal, and Matt Reilly, executive vice president of production at Universal.
