Netizens took a laugh at a Reddit user with Anonychia congenita

Have you ever thought about what it would be like to lose all of your fingernails? Losing a nail or having an ingrown nail is excruciatingly painful, yet nails serve several functions, including making it easier to pick up objects from the ground. However, some people are born with no fingernails or toenails due to a disorder known as Anonychia.

Anonychia congenita is a condition that affects some people, and they usually have no fingernails or toenails. The lack of nails is obvious from birth.

A Reddit user submitted a photo of a man’s hand with the condition, which drew a lot of attention from netizens who asked what chores would be tough without nails. The description accompanying the photo reads, “People born with Anonychia do not have fingernails and cannot grow them.”

See the post below:

“Imagine the agony it is for these guys if a typical person can’t separate two Lego pieces,” a Reddit member said. “Drop your credit card and report it stolen,” another urged.

Another netizen saw the benefit of not having nails, writing, “Sure it could suck. But they’ll never know the pains of and ingrown nail, smashing a nail, loosing a nail, never have to clip fingernails, never have a splinter Under the nail, never have dirty nails etc. See there are plus sides!”

“Here’s your change, and WHOOPS, just dropped it, my bad, would you mind picking up all those coins I just dropped on this perfectly smooth floor?” another person wrote. “Probably prefers bottles to cans,” added another.
