Tyler Posey of “Teen Wolf,” talks about Scott McCall’s transition

  • Tyler Posey’s portrayal of Scott McCall stole fans’ hearts.
  •  Beacon Hills may make an appearance in Teen Wolf: The Movie.
  • Posey has indicated that the character will be different.

Tyler Posey, whose depiction of Scott McCall stole fans’ hearts over the course of the supernatural series’ Teen Wolf six-season run, has revealed how the show would take up 15 years after it ended.

Although Beacon Hills may finally make an appearance in Teen Wolf: The Movie, it doesn’t seem like everything will be exactly how viewers remember it.

Scott was recognised for his humility, zest for life, and unfailing dedication to his loved ones. He was a natural leader (and true alpha).

Throughout the course of the programme, viewers followed Scott as he dealt with his transformation into a werewolf and the less otherworldly problems associated with growing up.

Posey has now indicated that the character of Scott in the movie will be different from the one spectators last saw as a teenager.

After years of being “constantly on edge trying to save the world” as the true alpha, Scott, who is in his early 30s when the movie picks up, has decided to move away from being the hero and leave the spotlight.

Scott’s troubles with navigating life without heroism are understandable given that a real alpha can get his powers from the strength and purity of his character rather than by murdering another alpha, as with other werewolves.

Posey remarked during a speech at the New York Comic Con:”Putting down that [hero] role, he’s lost himself a little bit. The first time we see Scott, it’s the first time we see him do stuff as a normal person, ever since the pilot.

It’s pretty intense to see Scott doing the mundane, normal life. He’s also lonely because he’s missing something in his life, he’s missing the hero role, he’s missing friends, he’s missing Beacon Hills [and] he’s missing family.

So we see Scott as a sort of troubled adult, depressed, kind of dealing with loneliness for the first time and it’s really special and powerful and impactful. I think a lot of us can relate because last time the show was out everyone grew up with it and now we’re all legitimately adults.”

Tyler Hoechlin’s (Tyler Hoechlin) Derek Hale, a former bad boy (man), will make a new excursion into parenting in Teen Wolf: The Movie, and Allison Argent, one of the series’ most adored characters, will return (Crystal Reed).

A shocking trailer for the movie, which showed the werewolf hunter appear from the shadows as she shoots arrows at Derek’s head, revealed information about her comeback.

Given that Allison passed away earlier in the episode, Reed’s return was a huge shock. She is still alive, but it is unclear how.

It turns out that Jeff Davis, the director of Teen Wolf, claimed that Reed’s comeback was one of his main inspirations for the movie and that not just viewers were thrilled to see Allison pick up her bow once more.

At New York Comic Con, he declared, “I’d always said that if we were gonna do a movie we would have to bring Crystal back.”

“I asked Crystal, “Are you ready to pick up the bow and arrow again?” as the concepts began to form. As we conversed, the magic persisted.”

A number of well-known characters, including Melissa Ponzio as Melissa McCall, Shelley Hennig as Malia Tate, Holland Roden as Lydia Martin, Colton Haynes as Jackson Whittemore, and Dylan Sprayberry as Liam Dunbar, will be making cameo appearances.

On January 26, 2023, Teen Wolf: The Movie debuts on Paramount+. The newest footage is available to view below:
