As Dancing with the Stars celebrated Michael Bublé night on Monday, spirits were high! The contestants were prepared to take on their newest challenge: dancing to Michael Bublé’s “feel-good” music, which is frequently used in ballrooms, after last week’s back-to-back episodes, in which Selma Blair decided to withdraw from the competition due to health concerns and Joseph Baena was eliminated.
In addition to a dance number by the women of DWTS that was created by pregnant pro-Jenna Johnson Chmerkovskiy, Michael Bublé performed at the start of the show. The broadcast also included a mid-show Derek Hough-choreographed performance to the brand-new Bublé song, “Higher.”
The cast eventually stole the show, though, as each contestant seemed to have a newfound level of assurance going into this week. By the end of the show, a new star had knocked a veteran competitor out of second place for the first time, and another had one judge pleading with him for a score of 12.
