Dolores Catania was shaken after her Porsche was stolen directly from her boyfriend’s driveway early on Saturday morning.
The luxurious car, according to sources close to the 51-year-old “Real Housewives of New Jersey” actress, was stolen from Paul “Paulie” Connell’s home in Edgewater, New Jersey, at around 6 a.m.
According to a source, “Dolores is determined to find her automobile with the help of authorities,” adding that a police report has been made in Bergen County.
The source added, “She is upset, but also genuinely shaken up about the notion that someone would steal it right out of Paulie’s driveway.
David Principe, Catania’s ex-boyfriend, bought her the automobile; this act sparked debate among the “RHONJ” group during Season 11.
When some of her castmates implied that Principe had given Catania the car so she could delay purchasing an engagement ring, Catania yelled at them, telling them to “go f-k” themselves.
Jackie Goldschneider told the group, “He didn’t give her a ring, so she didn’t move in [with him], but he just got her a Porsche,” to which her husband, Evan, responded, “It means, ‘I’m simply going to purchase you a car instead of a ring.'”
As a result of these remarks, Catania left the area. She added as she left, “Everyone’s talking about buying an f-king Porsche behind my back, and I want to leave.” “F-k you. Learn to stop talking f-king behind my back. Catania retained the expensive gift despite Principe, 58, and her splitting up last year.
Despite the unsettling robbery, Catania remains confident in her relationship with Connell, her Irish beau, who she describes as making her feel “protected and comfortable.”
“I adore Paulie in every way. He has a familiarity about him that makes me think of an old-school friend from my youth, which I enjoy. She raved about him to Page Six in May, saying, “And he’s so wonderful to me.
Connell, who had never watched an episode of “RHONJ” before meeting Catania, expressed his admiration for the Bravolebrity’s “honesty” in the meanwhile.
He explained to us that his leading lady is “simply a very genuine, decent person” and that it is comforting to have someone who supports you and has your back. He also mentioned that he now enjoys watching “New Jersey” with her.
“Because I’m so close to her and she’s amusing, I find it to be humorous. Like, she has a lot of wit. I therefore understand it better.
