Pakistan opening batter Imam-ul-Haq has lately performed Umrah.

Imam took to Twitter in order to publish images of himself while he was working on the “Kiswah-tul-Kaaba.” Kiswah is the name of the fabric that is used to cover the Kaaba.

The person who stitches with their left hand was given the opportunity to sew on the sacred fabric, and they released a video of them doing it.

“Honoured and blessed enough to be granted this opportunity,” the left-handed batter wrote.

Earlier, former Pakistani cricketers Mohammad Hafeez and Saeed Ajmal completed the pilgrimage of Umrah with their families.

In 2017, Imam made his debut for Pakistan against Sri Lanka in a five-match One-Day International series that was held in Abu Dhabi. The 28-year-old was given an opportunity in the third one-day international of the series, and he took full advantage of it by scoring an incredible century. As a result of his performance, he was named the player of the match.

Imam made remarkable strides in the 50-over format, and as a result, he is currently rated second in the batting rankings for one-day internationals (ODIs) maintained by the International Cricket Council (ICC).

In addition, he has established himself as an indispensable member of the Pakistan Test team in 2022. He has scored 488 runs in 10 innings for his country, including two centuries and a half-century. However, despite playing in only two Twenty20 Internationals (T20Is), Imam was not included in the Pakistan squad for a Twenty20 match, which is the shortest format of the game.

Imam was a member of Pakistan’s national team for a total of 72 matches, during which he scored 3,522 runs.
