Actress Rachel Zegler shares the behind-the-scenes peek at The Hunger Games: The Ballad of Songbirds and Snakes.

The actress, who will play Lucy Gray Baird in the movie, took part in a TikTok official account video introducing some of the movie’s stars, giving viewers a sneak peek at one of the sequences being shot, and giving viewers a look inside the “Video Village.”

Zegler gives audiences a behind-the-scenes look at the upcoming The Hunger Games prequel in a TikTok video that lasts just under a minute and introduces us to two of the characters.

The movie begins with a few brief pictures of the performers getting ready for the role before Zegler introduces Tom Blyth as “the lead of the film.”

In the next movie, Blyth will play Coriolanus Snow, an 18-year-old future president who is compelled to tutor a destitute girl from District 12.

Would you like to appear in the video? Blyth is sipping coffee when Zegler asks. Zegler laughs in the background as Blyth mock-horrifiedly reacts to the proposal by throwing his coffee cup towards the camera.

Zegler also introduces Josh Andrés Rivera, her “least favourite person on set,” later in the film. In between scenes, Rivera, who co-starred with Zegler as Chino in West Side Story, is sitting outside while sporting a red outfit and sunglasses.

In briefer glimpses, we also see Ashley Liao, who will portray Clemensia Dovecote, Blyth dancing in costume, Peter Dinklage, who will play Casca Highbottom, the Academy’s dean, getting ready for his role.

A few snippets of one of the movie’s sequences from the production are shown in the video. Cameras are set up while performers line up for their positions while wearing what look to be red school uniforms, complete with coats, slacks, and long, pleated coverings over the slacks.

The classroom is circular, and the pupils’ desks are a succession of high, white platforms. The set is a component of the prestigious high school in the Capitol.

In addition, Zegler gives a glimpse of the Video Village. She notes that the room serves as a viewing area for the action on the set for the director, producers, writers, and dialect coach.

In this section of the video, the camera pans to a few members of the team as they observe the development of the action and then zooms in on one of the producers as they face the camera.

Zegler joins in on the fun as she uses a clipboard to end her own behind-the-scenes production after thanking viewers for watching, reintroducing herself and her character, and ending the video.

Based on the novel by American author Suzanne Collins, The Ballad of Songbirds and Snakes is a prequel to The Hunger Games and takes set during the tenth Hunger Games.

Coriolanus Snow will be the main character and serve as Lucy Gray Baird’s mentor. Coriolanus Snow is driven by the possibility of receiving financial aid for college if his mentorship is effective.

Hunter Schafer, Viola Davis, Isobel Jesper Jones, Jason Schwartzman, Fionnula Flanagan, Honor Gillies, Eike Onyambu, Konstantin Taffet, Burn Gorman, Scott Folan, Carl Spencer, Michael Greco, and Daniela Grubert are among the other actors who will appear in the future movie.

Jerome Lance, Mackenzie Lansing, Hiroki Berrecloth, Knox Gibson, Lilly Cooper, Luna Steeples, Aamer Husain, Nick Benson, and Flora Li Thiemann are more honorees and mentors. Francis Lawrence is the film’s director, and Collins, Michael Arndt, and Michael Lesslie wrote the script.

On November 17, 2023, The Hunger Games: A Ballad of Songbirds and Snakes will be released.
