The glory days of Prince Andrew appear to be in the distant past as a new explosive documentary targets him.
Andrew: Banished aired on Peacock last week; the platform describes the film as “the story of how, through arrogance and lust, the Duke of York’s scandals and his friendship with sex trafficker Jeffrey Epstein nearly sank the British monarchy.”
The documentary achieves a no-holds-barred, extremely critical examination of a man whose nicknames included “The Playboy Prince” and “Air Miles Andy,” according to reports.
Among the interviewees were palace guards, journalists, socialites, and royal secretaries, and nearly no one had anything favorable to say about the disgraced prince.
Even before the news of his affiliation with Epstein and Virginia Roberts Giuffre’s allegations of abuse broke, those questioned for the documentary expressed amazement at how he had handled himself, in a manner entirely different from that of the rest of his family.
Ingrid Seward, editor-in-chief of Majesty Magazine, states in the film, “Prince Andrew was one of the lads.” “He was quite mischievous. Prince Phillip adored this youngster because he was everything that perhaps Prince Charles was lacking. Therefore, he received even more attention than before.”
