Microsoft will host a launch event for its Surface product line on October 12 at 7:00 am PT. We don’t know much about the devices that will be announced at the event, which is unfortunate.
But some reports say that Microsoft will show off the Surface Laptop 5, the Surface Pro 9 hybrid laptop/tablet, and the Surface Studio 3 desktop.
There are rumours that the event will take place online instead of in person.
Some new reports say that the Surface Pro 9 has been spotted by the Federal Communications Commission (FCC), which could mean that it is almost ready to be released.
Documents from the FCC say that the “portable computing device” will be based on ARM and will be able to use 5G. The Qualcomm Snapdragon 8cx Gen 3 processor will power it.
Other features could include a 13-inch screen with a resolution of 2880 x 1920 and a refresh rate of 120Hz, as well as rounded corners and a thinner frame.
On the other hand, the new Surface Laptop 5 series, which is coming out soon, will have Intel processors instead of AMD processors.
For example, a 13.5-inch model could cost about $1,180 (€1,200) and a 15-inch model could cost about $1,475 (€1,500).
Some other rumours say that the Surface Laptop 5 will have a 120Hz screen and a Thunderbolt 4 port.
There will be more ports, like a USB-C port with USB 4.0 and Alcantara and metal finishes.
Accessories for the Surface Studio 3, like a Surface Pen, Mouse, and Keyboard with more functional keys, were also leaked earlier this month.
Microsoft isn’t the only company that is working hard to get its products out there.
Apple just held its fall event, where the iPhone 14 series and Apple Watch models were shown off.
It will soon hold another event to introduce new MacBook models.
