The 58-year-old comedian died at AIIMS, Delhi, after suffering a heart attack on August 10. Thursday, September 22 at 9.30 am, India Today reported.

The cremation will take place in Delhi, as decided by Raju Srivastava’s wife Shikha, son Ayushman, and daughter Antara. Before, they thought about taking Raju’s body to Mumbai or Kanpur, but now things are different.

“AIIMS did not put out a medical bulletin,” India Today said.

The fact that Raju’s funeral will be held in Delhi was confirmed by Raju’s brother-in-law. In an interview with IndiaToday.in, he said, “His blood pressure dropped in the morning, so he was given CPR. At first, he responded, but then he fell down. It was supposed to be taken away in two to three days. The doses of medicines had also been cut.”

Srivastava was on popular comedy shows like The Great Indian Laughter Challenge, Comedy Circus, The Kapil Sharma Show, Shaktimaan, and others. He also played important roles in Bollywood movies like Maine Pyaar Kiya, Tezaab, and Baazigar.
