Social media feeds are no longer automatically sorted into chronological order. An algorithm randomly arranges the postings as you navigate through Facebook, Instagram, or Twitter to create a different (and even perplexing) experience. This is not necessarily the case.
Several of the top social media platforms now have features that, with restrictions, give users some control over the algorithm. Expect the adjustments to be temporary often, you’ll need to repeat them each time you visit the social networking site in order to view postings chronologically. The posts will still contain advertisements, so be prepared for them.
On Facebook
An innovator Facebook does let users change the option so that the timeline seems chronologically ranked when it comes to jumbling social network postings into a confusing feed. Start at your home screen and look for the tabs on the left side of the screen if you’re using Facebook on a computer. To change your timeline, click See more, scroll down a bit, then select Most Recent. A change of heart? The Back to top posts button, which is visible above the Facebook status prompt, can be chosen.
Choose Feeds from the menu by selecting it in the bottom right corner of the Facebook mobile app. This option displays each post sequentially. To view consecutive content from those categories, toggle over to Favorites, Friends, Groups, or Pages.
On Twitter
Twitter, which was once designed as a microblogging platform, has evolved into a comprehensive social media network. Users may find everything on Twitter, from professional artist portfolios to brands using NSFW memes to get attention. By tapping the sparkle icon in the very top right corner of the screen, you may view all the strange, amusing, and frustrating posts in the chronological sequence in which they were tweeted. On Instagram

Users expecting to cruise through their main feed without being interrupted by the algorithm may be in luck even though the app now emphasizes short video content. Here’s how to set your Instagram mobile app feed to chronological order. Simply select Following from the dropdown menu by clicking the Instagram logo in the top left corner of the screen. The modification is temporary, therefore it could be necessary to repeat it when the app is launched again.
On YouTube
When looking for consecutive posts, YouTube may not be the first social networking site that comes to mind, but it does make it quite simple to view the most recent videos from your subscribed channels.
