IMF says govt can’t control economy: Imran Khan

CHARSADDA: Pakistan Tehreek e Insaf (PTI) Chairman Imran Khan on Saturday said the International Monetary Fund (IMF) said the government could not control the economy.

“The foreign world is not ready to give you money. The IMF says anarchy is spreading in Pakistan,” Imran Khan said addressing a public rally in Charsadda.

He said he would soon give a call for real freedom. By getting real freedom we could become a great nation, he maintained.

“We have to make the country’s foreign policy independent. We will not participate in anyone’s war out of fear. Khyber Pakhtunkhwa gave the biggest sacrifice in the war against terrorism. We don’t have to be slaves to superpowers,” he said.

The former prime minister said the government which gave the best performance after 17 years was toppled through no confidence motion. They came to reduce inflation but they broke records of it, he said.

“Do not give vote to any such party whose money is abroad. Whose money is abroad, it means that he is not loyal to the country,” he said.

The PTI chief said Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif and his two sons should be punished. He said two out of four witnesses of their cases died of heart attack.

“We will not acknowledge the government which came through foreign conspiracy. The US wanted such rulers who should roam around like beggars. The nation asks who is responsible for the conspiracy,” he said.
