KARACHI: The Sindh High Court (SHC) restrained Federal Investigation Agency (FIA) from taking any action against Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) leader.
The restriction was imposed by the SHC on FIA for taking action in a money laundering case.
As per details, the finance secretary of PTI, Mohammad Javed, challenged the show cause notice sent by the FIA for the inquiry in the money laundering case.
The petition maintained that the petitioner is ready to cooperate in the probe but fears that coercive action may be taken against him by the agency.
The petitioner also sought protection and requested the court to restrain FIA in this regard.
The SHC issued notice to the FIA and restricts the agency from taking any action against the PTI leader till the next hearing.
On the other hand, instructions were also given to the petitioner to cooperate with the investigation agency in relation to the inquiry.
