ISLAMABAD: Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) leader Babar Awan said Saturday that Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N) came into power for NRO II.
He was addressing the media when said that Shehbaz Sharif has been expediting his performance for the exclusion of cases against the PML-N leadership adding that he has speed only in laundering of money.
“They came into power for NRO II which is the replay of NRO I,” PTI leader added.
He while touching on the NAB amendments maintained that the amendments gave relief to the corruption accusers and looters.
Awan said that as a result of NRO II, 6 amendments have been made in which the major accused have been pardoned and the minor accused have been made witnesses.
He further said that the first of six NAB amendments is regarding loan forgiveness, in which two thousand four hundred billion rupees were forgiven to those who looted and the crimes before 1985 have been abolished.
“In the second amendment, the assets of the family will not be considered as the assets of the accused, this amendment allows the accused to open accounts in someone else’s name by doing corruption.”
While touching on another amendment, he said that the accused are now allowed to sell the property on which case is going on which will eventually lead to the exclusion of case.
Not only this, he also highlight the amendment that will imprisoned the petitioner for 5 years if the case is not proven in the court adding that the amendment would be a hit on the low income, salaried groups of Pakistan.
Awan also said that the culprits of billions of corruption land in Pakistan and without being presented in the court they are getting bails.
“They have made Pakistan a banana republic and the country has been suffering with the worst economic crisis.”
Babar Awan also lambasted the government for making fake claims regarding the donations by saying that the flood victims got nothing by the government and the incumbents have been falsifying about the funds.
“The claim of the government of distribution of Rs 20 billion is a mere bluff,” he added.
