Critics and political rivals attacked Boris Johnson’s farewell speech as UK prime minister, accusing him of abdicating responsibility and overstating his administration’s accomplishments.

The Prime Minister’s official Twitter account posted a video of Johnson and his wife, Carrie, leaving Downing Street while being applauded by his staff and fans. The caption said, “Thank you Boris.”

Additionally, a few devoted backbenchers of the Conservative Party voiced their support online, though few members of the Cabinet were among them.

Many opposition MPs, though, were not feeling so kind.
Johnson was labelled the “worst Prime Minister of the Modern Era” by Labour’s shadow foreign secretary, who also charged that he used his farewell speech to cite “imaginary achievements.”

Johnson mentioned his oft-repeated — and widely ridiculed — claim that his government would construct 40 new hospitals as one accomplishment. According to fact-checker, the majority of new hospitals are actually upgrades, renovations, or replacements of existing structures.

True Fact. The National Health Service (NHS) in Britain is experiencing a staffing shortage, leaving employees overworked and forcing patients to wait for operations.

It will shock you to know that, contrary to what Boris Johnson said, there will not be 50,000 more nurses by the end of the Parliament, nor will the Conservatives deliver 40 new hospitals.
