PTI to hold power show in Peshawar tomorrow

ISLAMABAD: Pakistan Tehreek-Insaf (PTI) will hold a power show on Tuesday (tomorrow) in Peshawar. the provincial capital of Khyber Pakhtunkwa.

Imran Khan will address party supporters at the political gathering being held at Ring Road near Motorway at 5.30 PM. The rally is being held in the constituency of KP Finance Minister Taimur Jhagra.

The PTI chief issued a message and invited the people of Peshawar to the rally. He expressed hope that people will attend with full enthusiasm and vigour and he will speak to them about the current situation in the country.

Imran Khan has been holding rallies across the country to continue his narrative against the government ever since being ousted from power. He has been demanding fresh election to end the political stalemate and economic crisis in the country.

Last month, the PTI released a schedule according to which Imran Khan will address 17 jalsas from different cities. The next political gathering will be on September 7 (Wednesday) in Bhawalnagar, September 8 (Thursday) in Multan, September 9 (Friday) in Sheikupura, September 10 (Saturday) in Gujranwala, and September 11 (Sunday) in Quetta.

Imran Khan has faced scathing criticism for holding power shows despite the devastating flood situation. He has vowed to continue holding rallies along with flood relief activities and will his mission for real freedom.

Earlier Foreign Minister Bilawal Bhutto Zardari mocked the former prime minister for holding “concerts” in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa and Punjab while Pakistan is facing the biggest disaster in history.

Taking to Twitter, he said, “Pakistan is facing the biggest disaster in our history. 1/3 of our country is underwater! 1/7 citizens affected, 35 million ppl! ex PM is holding concerts in KP & Punjab.”

He said that the chief ministers of both provinces – Punjab and K-P – were busy organising PTI’s ‘musical event’ instead of helping flood victims.

“Shameful, pehaly insan bano, phir siyasatdan bano! (become a good human first and then a politician),” he advised the former prime minister.

During a recent address at a public gathering in Gujrat, Imran Khan warned the incumbent government that his “freedom movement” will march towards Islamabad if ‘political victimisation’ against his party continued.
