- Shakira and Gerard Pique are unable to come to an agreement.
- They have been fighting over custody of their children.
- The Colombian singer wants to move her children permanently to Miami.
According to recent sources, if Shakira and Gerard Pique are unable to come to an agreement quickly, they may take their dispute to court.
Since the former couple’s breakup after a 12 year relationship, they have been fighting over custody of their children, Sasha and Milan.
However, the Inevitable singer’s and the Barcelona player’s negotiations are not progressing favorably, and it is likely that the famous ex-couples will face off in court.
According to sources, paparazzi Jordi Martin, who self identifies as an authority on the former couple’s relationship, stated that “Pique and Shakira have no regulatory deal or any other kind of agreement.”
Martin claimed that after getting in touch with one of the attorneys, the firm gave him the assurance that “there is no agreement” between Shakira and Pique at this time.
According to earlier reports, the Colombian singer wants to move her children permanently to Miami, but the football player wants them to remain in Barcelona with him.
Piqué is opposed to the relocation because his friends, family, and activities are all in this area and he does not intend to go to Miami, the journalist said.
Since the children have already begun the current school year, Shakira is really up against it, he continued.
Martin asserts that because the kids have lived in Spain their entire lives and can’t just drop out of school in the middle of their education, Shakira would have little chance of succeeding in court.
Shakira would have to wait at least a full year before she could hope to take the kids out of the country, he continued.
In the event that Shakira and Pique refuse to sign a contract, Martin is confident that “they will have to face each other in court.”
