Complete Lock down from 12 noon till 3 pm, Friday Prayers Restricted

The Government has announced to enforce complete lock down from 12 in noon till 3 pm amid the deadly coronavirus outbreak in the country.

On this occasion, Friday prayers restricted, Ulema urged masses to pray at their homes.

The Sindh government had prohibited congregational prayers in the province two weeks ago, permitting only three to five staffers (such as the imam and khateeb) to offer prayers inside the mosques.

Some mosques, however, did not follow the orders and police had to make announcements asking people to go back to their homes.

Dozens of people were arrested in the province for violating the orders.

The provincial government had imposed a lockdown in Sindh on March 23. Authorities directed to have all stores, including grocery shops and petrol pumps, closed at 5pm.

Today its the 18th day of lock down.

Information Minister of Sindh Nasir Hussain Shah said that the restrictions on congregational prayers across the province will strictly enforced for Friday prayers.

Shah requested that people pray at their homes and limit their movements outside from 12pm to 3pm in the afternoon.

The number of confirmed COVID-19 cases in Pakistan rose to 4,612 on Friday after new infections confirmed in the country.

Furthermore The virus has killed 21 people in Sindh. Of them, 19 deaths reported in Karachi. The number of known coronavirus cases in the province has reached 1,036.
