People are making reels called “Instagram vs. Reality” that show how famous places look on Instagram and how they look in real life. Funny audio called “My life be like ooh ah, yeah, ooh ooh” is part of the trend. At the end of the audio, a man makes fun of the song by saying “ooh ah, ooh ah” and laughing uncontrollably. The first part of the audio is what we would see on Instagram, and the funny part of the audio shows what the person actually goes through. This sound has been used to make as many as 29,500 reels like this.
Isa Khan, who writes a blog about travelling, shared this video. It was shot at the famous Glass Bridge, 900 Kandi, which is built 100 feet above the ground in Kerala’s Wayanad. People can swing from a very high place over Wayanad’s beautiful scenery, which makes for a nice picture or video for social media. In reality, though, you have to wait in long lines to get to the swing where you can record your video.
Over 14.5 million people have watched the video, and 688k people have liked it. The caption said, “Places NOT to visit in Kerala.” People on the Internet thought the video was funny, and there were a lot of laughing emojis in the comments. “Instagram is making it impossible to enjoy such places,” said one user. “Reels vs Reality,” said someone else.
