ISLAMABAD: A hearing was conducted in the Islamabad High Court against the physical remand of Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) leader Shahbaz Gill and the court has summoned the superintendent of Adiala jail, reported BOL News on Thursday.
As per details, the court summoned the Advocate General, Additional Attorney General, Superintendent Adiala Jail and the police officials to cover the facts on the matter.
Acting Chief Justice of Islamabad High Court Amir Farooq is conducting the hearing of the case against the remand of Gill and a notice has been issued in this regard for 3 pm today.
It is pertinent to mention here that Shahbaz Gill is currently at the PIMS hospital for his medical checkup and has been undergoing various tests for his health and fitness.
The PTI leader for arrested days ago over sedition charges by the Police in Islamabad. He was taken into remand for two days initially and a district and sessions court remanded him for another 48 hours on a plea filed by the police.
The remand has been challenged by PTI in the IHC.
