ISLAMABAD: Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) has submitted another application to the Islamabad High Court (IHC) against the custodial torture of PTI leader Shahbaz Gill who has been in detention, reported BOL News.
As per details, the application was submitted by PTI leaders Asad Umar and Babar Awan after Gill was shifted to PIMS hospital for his medical checkup, and the party leaders were barred from meeting him.
Earlier, PTI’s Faisal Chaudhry reached PIMS to meet Shahbaz but he was denied. Later the application was submitted to the IHC against the torture.
Notably, the PTI leader was arrested from Bani Gala when he was on his way to meet PTI Chief Imran Khan and the police claimed that the arrest was made over the charges of sedition.
He was initially remanded to the police for two days and after that, the police filed a petition for an extension to which another 48-hours long remand was granted yesterday.
The PTI leadership expressed their grave concerns over the extension in remand and maintained that the remand was given for the custodial torture of Gill.
