The actor spoke with host Karan Johar on the events leading up to his secret wedding to Katrina Kaif last year. Vicky and Katrina have been one of Bollywood’s most popular celebrity couples ever since their wedding in December 2021. Vicky discussed how their relationship almost got developed, he also shared information on their Rajasthani wedding celebrations, including what he told the pandit (priest) when he married Katrina.
Filmmaker Karan Johar declared on the show, “Maine aap ke prem kahani ke liye pura credit le liya (I have taken the complete credit for your love journey),” Claiming he was responsible for Vicky and Katrina Kaif’s relationship. Vicky shared Karan’s sentiments and stated, “My moment on this sofa in last season was my way of knowing that Katrina even knew I existed.”
When Karan asked Katrina who she would like to collaborate with in her future movie on a 2019 episode of Koffee With Karan, the actor praised Vicky. Later, when Vicky appeared on the chat show with Ayushmann Khurrana, Karan told him about Katrina’s remark, and the actor pretended to pass out with happiness. In the most recent episode of Koffee With Karan season 7, Vicky recalled how the pair had their first ever meeting at filmmaker Zoya Akhtar’s house after their segments on the show had aired.
In the most recent Koffee With Karan episode, Vicky also recalled watching amusing memes and tweets about his and Katrina’s blissful wedding. Drones were reportedly being employed for security at the wedding venue, and other sources said the groom would be arriving by helicopter. Vicky claimed that the odd coverage of their wedding, which included claims that “drones were being shot down,” prompted him to suggest to their pandit that the ceremony should not go longer than an hour.
