- Mohammed bin Salman led the annual ceremony to clean the Holy Kaaba.

- Crown Prince prayed for two rak’ahs on his own inside the Kaaba’s Grand Masjid.
On behalf of the Custodian of the Two Holy Masjid, King Salman, Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman, deputy premier and minister of defence, led the annual ceremony to clean the Holy Kaaba early Tuesday morning.
Sheikh Abdulrahman Al-Sudais, the head of the General Presidency for the Affairs of the Two Holy Masjid, met the Crown Prince and the Minister of Sports, Prince Abdulaziz bin Turki, when they got to the Grand Masjid. The Saudi Press Agency said this happened.
The Crown Prince did tawaf, which is walking around the Holy Kaaba, and prayed for two rak’ahs on his own. After that, he went inside the Kaaba, where he led the washing ceremony and then said the two rak’ahs of prayer.
Prince Saud bin Nahar bin Saud, governor of Taif, and Prince Saud bin Abdullah bin Jalawi, governor of Jeddah, both attended the ceremony. So did a number of members of the Council of Senior Scholars, including Sheikh Saleh bin Abdullah bin Humaid, Sheikh Abdullah bin Muhammad Al-Mutlaq, Sheikh Saad bin Nasser Al-Shathri, and Sheikh Bandar bin Abdulaziz Balila
Zamzam water mixed with rose water, oud, and other perfumes were used to clean the holiest place in Islam every year.
The washing of the Holy Kaaba is as per the example set by Prophet Muhammad (peace be upon him).
The Saudi king or his representative usually cleans the Holy Kaaba from the inside. To clean the Kaaba’s walls, people use towels. A white cloth dipped in rose and musk perfumes is used to clean the walls inside. People splash rose-scented Zamzam water on the floor and wipe it up with their bare hands and palm leaves.
