group of travelers visit all 50 states in 5 days, setting a global record

  • A group of travelers broke the world record by going through all 50 states.
  • They spent almost $12,000 on gas, food, lodging, and other costs.
  • They were on the road for 120 hours and drove more than 7,200 miles.

A group of travelers broke the world record by going through all 50 states of the United States of America in just five days, 13 hours, and 10 minutes. Peter McConville of Austin went on the expedition with his friends Pavel “Pasha” Krechetov of Austin and Abdullahi Salah of Minneapolis. Thomas Cannon and Justin Morris saw all 50 states in 5 days, 16 hours, and 20 minutes. The men left Vermont to try to beat that time. According to a report by private TV, the group left Vermont and drove all the way across the country before giving up their rental car and taking a flight from Washington to Alaska. They finished their trip in Hawaii. They were on the road for 120 hours and drove more than 7,200 miles. They spent almost $12,000 on gas, food, lodging, and other costs.

Hawaii News Now says that they finished their trip in Hawaii and celebrated by eating some of the local food. They also wrote, “Pit stops had to be planned carefully, because the friends learned early on in the trip that stopping could cost them their record.”
