On September 8, during his much awaited trip to the UK, Prince Harry may deliver a speech at the WellChild Awards in London.
The Duke of Sussex will not be giving this speech for the first time, three years ago the prince sobbed on stage at the same ceremony.
At the ceremony, Harry said: “I’ve been attending these Award ceremonies for more than ten years, and every year they continue to amaze me and inspire me.
However, now that I’m a father, this year it has a different resonance.
We were expecting our first kid last year when my wife and I attended, but no one else did. I remember that.
I remember holding Meghan’s hand so tightly during the awards, thinking about what it would be like to be parents one day, and more specifically, what it would be like to do everything we could to protect and help our child should they be born with immediate challenges or become ill over time.
He concluded, “And now, as parents, being here and talking to all of you touches my heart in a way I could have never understood before I had a child of my own.”
