KARACHI: Scattered showers have hit parts of the city this noon as the monsoon season continues uninterrupted.
Moderate to heavy rainfall was reported in most areas of Karachi as a fresh monsoon spell entered the city.
The Pakistan Metrological Department (PMD) has already reported that a fresh monsoon system entered the city today and more falls are expected under it.
The department has said that intermittent rains have been expected throughout the day in the city and the rains may cause urban flooding in the low-lying areas.
The rainwater inundated several low-lying areas and roads in Karachi which hampered traffic flow. The Met Office has forecast more rain in Karachi during next 24 hours.
Earlier, Chief Meteorologist Sardar Sarfraz said that the system will affect Karachi from August 16, which may continue till August 18-19.
On the other hand, rainfalls also lashed Hyderabad city and turned the weather pleasant for the citizens.
