Kate Middleton, the wife of Prince William, has surpassed Meghan Markle to take the top spot on a magazine’s list of the best-dressed people for 2022.

The Duchess of Cambridge, 40, is ranked first in Tatler’s best-dressed list for 2022, while Meghan Markle, Prince Harry’s beloved, missed the top 10.

Richard Eden, a royal analyst, questioned whether it wasn’t “a touch severe.” As Eden tweeted: “Rather harsh The Duchess of Cambridge tops @tatlermagazine’s list of best dressed women for 2022, but the Duchess of Sussex falls short of the top 10.”

“Everything should be carefully tailored, embracing current catwalk trends; through a lens of acceptable dress lengths and classic designs,” the statement continued.

Future queen Kate Middleton has been dubbed a “sovereign superstar” by the magazine for her sense of style.
