Prior to making his acting debut in Khoobsurat with Sonam Kapoor, he had already become a sensation thanks to Zindagi Guzar Hai and Humsafar.

Fawad Khan and Deepika Padukone received 42% of the votes when Deepika was also nominated with her real-life spouse Ranveer Singh in a recent Indian page poll asking which couple people wanted to see on a ramp.
