Emergency services were called to the Parkdean Resort in Camber Sands, East Sussex, after reports of a group altercation.

Following the incident, a 58-year-old man died in the early hours of Saturday, according to Sussex Police.

According to the police, all six people arrested are being held in custody.

“Our investigation is at a very early stage,” Det Supt Jon Hull said, “but I would like to reassure the public that this appears to be an isolated incident with no wider risk of harm.”

“Officers are now working to establish the full circumstances while the victim’s next of kin are supported by specialist officers.”

“On the evening of Friday, August 5, a serious incident occurred within our complex area,” said a spokesperson for the holiday park.

“As this is a live police investigation we cannot comment further, but our team is doing everything they can to assist inquiries.”
