Kate Middleton demonstrates that “consummate hands” hold the throne

  • Journalist Matthew Syed visited the Commonwealth Games with his young son Ted.
  • He unexpectedly met the future Queen Consort while in the toilet on a train to Birmingham.
  • Syed said Kate Middleton had no idea she was chatting to the son of a journalist.

This week, Kate Middleton, the wife of Prince William, astounded a journalist with her approachable demeanour, demonstrating that the monarchy is in “consummate hands.”

Journalist Matthew Syed described his Tuesday trip to the Commonwealth Games with his small son Ted. He talked about his delightful encounter with the future Queen.

The journalist said that he overheard the boy talking to a woman while using the restroom on a first-class train to Birmingham.

“Judging by the laughs, they are having a ball of a time,” he continued.

Mr. Syed claimed that he thanked the woman as he exited the restroom before realising she was the future Queen Consort.

When he later asked his kid if he recognised her, he said that he did not, but that she was “very kind.” He continued.

Syed stated in a Times article: “I interpret the fact that the Duchess was conversing with the son of a journalist without realising it as a reflection of her character and sense of duty. The throne is in expert hands.”

Earlier this week, Princess Charlotte joined Prince William and Kate Middleton on a trip to the Games for a jam-packed day of athletic competition.
