Iranian state TV said that the leader of Iran’s elite Revolutionary Guards said on Saturday that Israel would pay a terrible price for its recent attacks on Palestinians in Gaza.
According to the report, Major General Hossein Salami was quoted as saying, in reference to Israeli air strikes on Gaza, that “the Israelis will pay yet another heavy price for their recent crime.”

Salami’s comments were made during a meeting with Islamic Jihad leader Ziad Al-Nakhala, who is currently in Iran.
After an Israeli operation against the Islamic Jihad militant group disrupted more than a year of relative calm along the border, Israeli aircraft attacked Gaza on Saturday, while Palestinians fired rockets at Israel.
