Pakistan’s Mohammad Sharif Tahir qualified for final of wrestling in Commonwealth Games 2022

Pakistan’s Mohammad Sharif Tahir Saturday beat New Zealand’s Cole Hawkings to make it to the final of the Men’s Freestyle 74kg wrestling event at the Commonwealth Games (CWG) 2022.

In a semi-final match that lasted three minutes and 53 seconds, Tahir beat Hawkings. The Pakistani wrestler took the lead twice in a row and won with a score of 11-0, giving Pakistan another medal.

In the wrestling event of the CWG 2022, it’s time for another final match between Pakistan and India. In the final, Tahir will play against Naveen Naveen of India.

Friday, Pakistan’s Inam Butt lost to India’s Deepak Punia in the Men’s Freestyle 86kg wrestling event and got the silver medal.

Pakistan’s Tayab Raza and Ali Raza didn’t make the finals in their categories today. In the Men’s 97kg semi-final, Tayab lost to Nishan Randhawa of Canada, and in the Men’s 57kg semi-final, Ali Asad lost to Kumar Ravi of India.

Later today, Tayab will play Deepak Nehra of India and Ali will play Suraj Sing of New Zealand in the bronze medal match.
