ISLAMABAD: The Islamabad High Court (IHC) on Friday issued notices to the respondents in a petition filed by the Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) against the Federal Investigation Agency (FIA), reported BOL News.
The petition was filed by the PTI against FIA for taking action days after the verdict announced by the Election Commission of Pakistan (ECP) in the prohibited funding case.
Acting Chief Justice Aamer Farooq on Friday heard the case filed by the PTI adding that the actions were based on dishonesty.
The petition claimed that the staff was called by phone for investigation terming it as harassment and added that the employees were totally unaware of the probe initiated by the FIA.
It is pertinent to mention here that FIA has launched a probe into the prohibited funding case of PTI and a six-member probe team was formed after the Election Commission of Pakistan announced the verdict in the PTI’s funding case.
The team will monitor inquiries across the country about the utilization of the funds.
Sources in the know added that four employees were taken into investigation and so far three of them have recorded their testimonies.
