Philanthropist and billionaire Bill Gates has warned that America needs six to 10 weeks of extreme shutdown of regular life to get a handle on the new COVID-19 outbreak.
According to the details, The Microsoft co-founder said this in an interview with TED (Technology, Entertainment and Design).
He said it’s very irresponsible for somebody to suggest we can have the best of both worlds.
According to the sources, Bill Gates said, if things go well, then you can start opening back up
Gates noted that while isolation in populated areas along with widespread testing is difficult and disastrous for the economy, the sooner you do it in a tough way, the sooner you can undo it.
I’ve been impressed by governors across the country including @JayInslee, @NYGovCuomo, @GavinNewsom, @GovMikeDeWine, @GovLarryHogan, and the many others who are guiding their communities through this challenge and providing a model for us all to follow.
