Nayef Aguerd joined the London club from French side Rennes last month for an expense that British media revealed.
It was around 30 million pounds ($36.14 million) including additional items.
Aguerd limped off harmed during the main portion of their 3-1 loss by Scottish Premiership side Rangers, leaving him a significant uncertainty for the beginning of the new season.
“West Ham United can affirm that Aguerd has had effective medical procedure on the lower leg injury,” West Ham said in an explanation.
“The Moroccan safeguard will currently proceed with his recovery at Rush Green with the club’s clinical group.”
Aguerd was a critical figure for Rennes last season, showing up in all contests as they completed fourth in Ligue 1 and arrived at the last 16 of the Europa Conference League.
The middle back, who joined Rennes from Dijon in 2020, has 25 global covers for Morocco since he made his presentation in 2016.
West Ham were seventh in the Premier League last season and arrived at the semi-finals of the Europa League.
They start the new mission at home to champions Manchester City on Aug. 7.
