A 14-year-old girl’s death in Maine has been ruled a homicide

In Mount Vernon, Maine, police are looking into a 14-year-old girl’s killing. Around 6 o’clock on Monday, the mother of the adolescent discovered girl dead at home; according to state police. Her death was first thought to be strange, but on Wednesday; the medical examiner’s office concluded that she had been murdered.

After the mother informed the police that one of her cars was stolen from the driveway; detectives spent the night looking for the red 2010 Chevrolet Impala. This vehicle was discovered on Tuesday in Wayne.

The car was taken without the owner’s permission Monday afternoon, authorities said. Police are asking anyone who has seen the car, which has a “Support Wildlife” Maine license plate reading “510-AVW,” to call 207-624-7076.
