After organizing the fifth birthday party for her oldest daughter Duchess Kate and finding the available party supplies to be insufficient, Carole and Michael founded their company, Party Pieces.
When James, Pippa, and the Duchess were older, Carole involved them in the business. In fact, Duchess Kate was the one to create the company’s first birthday and newborn division.
When her kids were younger, Carole talked to SheerLuxe about balancing the obligations of motherhood with those of running a business. After-school groups occasionally provided her the gift of an additional hour or two, but she admitted that she had to be extremely organized, rise early, and fit her work into the school day.
