People think that elephant mothers are some of the best among animals. We’ve seen a lot of viral videos of these species’ moms doing crazy things to protect their babies. People also say that elephants are kind and loving to other living things, like humans.
Elephants have been seen protecting people and having fun with them on more than one occasion. Scientists think that elephants are one of the most empathic animals because they can feel strong emotions like love, joy, sadness, anger, etc. And who else can feel love and loss as deeply as a mother who thinks she has lost her child?
A video is going around social media of a mother elephant passing out from worry after her baby fell down a drain. A baby elephant got stuck in a drain in Thailand when it was only a year old. The Good News Movement shared the video on Instagram, where it has been seen by more than 3 million people.
In the video, you can see rescuers trying to wake up a mother elephant who passed out while her baby was being pulled out of a drain by an excavator. The group of vets could be seen jumping on the elephant to give it CPR.
The calf was seen climbing back up to safety and running to his mother, who was lying down and not moving. Thanks to these quick-thinking heroes, both the mother and the calf got better and were able to go back to their natural habitat.
