Actor R Madhavan thinks that his son, swimmer Vedaant Madhavan, gets more attention for being the son of a star than for what he has done. At the 48th Junior National Aquatic Championships, Vedaant broke a national junior record. This made the news. The actor said about his son that he has no plans to force him into the acting business. R. Madhavan says, “Never say never,” as his son Vedaant sets a record.

Vedaant, who is 16 years old, swims well enough to be on the national team. He recently won gold and set a new national junior record in the 1500-meter freestyle event at the Junior Aquatic Championship, which is still going on. In honour of Vedaant’s big win, the actor posted a video of his son and wrote, “Never say never (Folded hands, red hearts and hug emojis). The 1500-meter freestyle junior national record is broken.”

Madhavan told India Today about Vedaant’s love of swimming, “Vedaant, I, and Sarita (his wife) saw that he got a lot of attention because he is my son. The fame he’s getting right now doesn’t match what he’s done. He has won a few things, but he still has a long way to go. There are younger people in India who can swim better than he can. The good news is that Vedaant knows it. He has changed because of all the attention he gets in Dubai. Even so, he still gets up at 4 a.m. to go swimming. I joke with him and say, “With all this fame, you should join the Olympics.”

He further added.“I enjoy the fact that he enjoys swimming and we love seeing him doing what he loves. So, I am definitely not putting acting or anything on his mind. He enjoys swimming, business management and economics.”

The last movie that the actor was in was Rocketry: The Nambi Effect. In the movie, he played the role of the former ISRO scientist Nambi Narayan, which was his first time directing. It is about the scientist who was wrongly accused of espionage in 1994. On July 1, it came out in theatres.
